THE ROLE A new one for ChangeKitchen CIC, a Community Engagement Officer reporting to the General Manager and the ChangeKitchen CIC CEO.

The primary role of the new Community Engagement Officer is to lead on the recruitment, coordination, and support of young people (aged 16–24) participating in ChangeKitchen CIC’s “Cooking Up Change” Gen22 Food and Social Action Project.

They will also play a key role in building relationships within the wider community, raising awareness of ChangeKitchen CIC’s mission and services, and acting as a bridge between local people and sources of support, advice, and opportunities.

The role focuses on engaging diverse young people facing barriers to employment, supporting their participation, and ensuring they gain confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging through volunteering and co-created community activities. This role is ideal for someone with a positive, proactive attitude, who is reliable, flexible, and enjoys working as part of a team.
